Jan Ayton’s current work explores themes of journey patterns and migration in a response to the emotional and difficult journeys made by displaced people around the world. She uses Greek classical sculpture as a starting point to symbolise the experience of odyssey and dislocation, suggesting the changes surrounding the human condition to create an inner resonance and to open up new possibilities and dialogues.
